Saint-Jal is a commune in Corrèze with 511 registered voters, the 84th largest of the département's 276 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 75% of them voted, more than the 67.3% across Corrèze, and SAINT JAL 2026 UNE ENERGIE NOUVELLE won 15 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 22.5%, France Unbowed 18.9%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 16.6%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 11 points worse here than across France.
