Saint-Sauvant is a commune in Charente-Maritime with 437 registered voters, the 254th largest of the département's 462 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 82.6% of them voted, more than the 58.7% across Charente-Maritime, and ENSEMBLE PLUS FORT won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.
In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted France Unbowed 25.8%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 24.9%, National Rally 19.9%. France Unbowed did 4 points better here than across France.
