About Benon

Benon is a commune in Charente-Maritime with 1,267 registered voters, the 93rd largest of the département's 462 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 60.1% of them voted, close to the 58.7% across Charente-Maritime, and ENSEMBLE, CONSTRUISONS L'AVENIR won 16 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 35.1%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 21.2%, France Unbowed 17.7%. National Rally did 12 points better here than across France.
