Saint-Urcize is a commune in Cantal with 376 registered voters, the 76th largest of the département's 249 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 88.3% of them voted, more than the 71% across Cantal, and the list led by Florence Delas won 9 of the council's 11 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 32.9%, National Rally 18.2%, Others 15%. France Unbowed did 12 points worse here than across France.
