Douvres-la-Délivrande is a commune in Calvados with 4,329 registered voters, the 21st largest of the département's 526 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 58.3% of them voted, close to the 58.2% across Calvados, and Avec vous, un nouvel élan won 23 of the council's 29 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 36.4%, National Rally 19.1%, France Unbowed 18.5%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 9 points better here than across France.
