At the municipal election of March 2026 30.8% of them voted, fewer than the 58.2% across Calvados, and Colombelles Solidaire et Audacieuse won 29 of the council's 29 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 28.5%, France Unbowed 28%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 23.3%. France Unbowed did 6 points better here than across France.
