Authie is a commune in Calvados with 1,367 registered voters, the 95th largest of the département's 526 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 64.4% of them voted, more than the 58.2% across Calvados, and AGIR ENSEMBLE, BIEN VIVRE A AUTHIE won 16 of the council's 19 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 39.1%, France Unbowed 19.2%, National Rally 13.1%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 11 points better here than across France.
