Niedermodern is a commune in Bas-Rhin with 689 registered voters, the 224th largest of the département's 513 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 44.1% of them voted, fewer than the 55.8% across Bas-Rhin, and CONTINUONS ENSEMBLE won 15 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 37.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 27.8%, France Unbowed 10.1%. National Rally did 14 points better here than across France.
