Bourgheim is a commune in Bas-Rhin with 515 registered voters, the 296th largest of the département's 513 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 79% of them voted, more than the 55.8% across Bas-Rhin, and BOURGHEIM à Coeur won 12 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 28.5%, National Rally 27.7%, France Unbowed 14.8%. France Unbowed did 7 points worse here than across France.
