Saint-Mards-en-Othe is a commune in Aube with 535 registered voters, the 65th largest of the département's 431 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 66% of them voted, more than the 54.5% across Aube, and Unis pour Saint-Mards ! won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 42.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 19.6%, France Unbowed 14.6%. National Rally did 19 points better here than across France.
