Mercenac is a commune in Ariège with 335 registered voters, the 80th largest of the département's 325 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 64.5% of them voted, close to the 64% across Ariège, and MERCENAC, COMMUNE D'AVENIR won 11 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.
