Clans is a commune in Alpes-Maritimes with 610 registered voters, the 91st largest of the département's 163 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 61.1% of them voted, more than the 55.3% across Alpes-Maritimes, and AVANCONS ENSEMBLE POUR CLANS won 15 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 33.2%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 23.1%, France Unbowed 14.6%. National Rally did 10 points better here than across France.
