Ascros is a commune in Alpes-Maritimes with 223 registered voters, the 123rd largest of the département's 163 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 66.4% of them voted, more than the 55.3% across Alpes-Maritimes, and Fiers d'Ascros won 11 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 21.8%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 18.6%, France Unbowed 18.6%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 9 points worse here than across France.
