Naves is a commune in Allier with 119 registered voters, the 297th largest of the département's 315 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 73.1% of them voted, more than the 60.3% across Allier, and ENGAGES POUR NAVES won 11 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 23.3%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 22.1%, Communist Party 14%. Communist Party did 12 points better here than across France.
