Deux-Chaises is a commune in Allier with 290 registered voters, the 170th largest of the département's 315 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 63.1% of them voted, more than the 60.3% across Allier, and BIEN VIVRE ENSEMBLE A DEUX-CHAISES won 11 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 24.7%, National Rally 21.3%, France Unbowed 18.4%. Communist Party did 7 points better here than across France.
