Chivres-Val is a commune in Aisne with 426 registered voters, the 187th largest of the département's 797 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 69.7% of them voted, more than the 56.3% across Aisne, and ENSEMBLE FAISONS VIVRE NOTRE VILLAGE won 13 of the council's 15 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 48.6%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 23.5%, France Unbowed 9.5%. National Rally did 25 points better here than across France.
