Cunit is a municipality in the province of Tarragona with 14,622 inhabitants, the 13th largest of its 184 municipalities. Its council has 17 seats, and 9 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 CM came first with 30.6% of the vote and 6 seats; PSC was second with 5. 47.5% of the 10,531 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
