Puntallana is a municipality in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife with 2,547 inhabitants, the 45th largest of its 54 municipalities. Its council has 11 seats, and 6 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PSOE came first with 54.3% of the vote and 6 seats, an absolute majority; CCA was second with 4. 74.3% of the 2,062 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
