About Salamanca

Salamanca is a municipality in the province of Salamanca with 142,412 inhabitants, the largest of its 362 municipalities. Its council has 27 seats, and 14 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PP came first with 43.9% of the vote and 14 seats, an absolute majority; PSOE was second with 10. 59.7% of the 115,350 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
