Chiclana de la Frontera is a municipality in the province of Cádiz with 87,493 inhabitants, the 6th largest of its 45 municipalities. Its council has 25 seats, and 13 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PSOE-A came first with 39.5% of the vote and 11 seats; PP was second with 9. 47.5% of the 68,553 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
