About Algeciras

Algeciras is a municipality in the province of Cádiz with 122,368 inhabitants, the 2nd largest of its 45 municipalities. Its council has 27 seats, and 14 make a majority to choose the mayor.

In May 2023 PP came first with 53.1% of the vote and 16 seats, an absolute majority; PSOE was second with 7. 47.6% of the 90,760 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.

On today's national polls our projection keeps PP on 16 seats, a majority, which it holds in 91% of our simulations.
