Alconchel is a municipality in the province of Badajoz with 1,644 inhabitants, the 75th largest of its 165 municipalities. Its council has 9 seats, and 5 make a majority to choose the mayor.
In May 2023 PSOE came first with 51.5% of the vote and 5 seats, an absolute majority; AIPAL was second with 3. 81% of the 1,401 voters on the roll cast a valid vote.
