Massognes is a commune in Vienne with 207 registered voters, the 220th largest of the département's 265 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 80.2% of them voted, more than the 58.1% across Vienne, and Massognes à coeur won 10 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 37.4%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 25.8%, France Unbowed 12.3%. National Rally did 14 points better here than across France.
