L'Isle-Adam is a commune in Val-d'Oise with 9,232 registered voters, the 30th largest of the département's 183 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 58.4% of them voted, more than the 50.1% across Val-d'Oise, and UNION POUR L'ISLE-ADAM VILLE PARC won 31 of the council's 33 seats in the first round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted Ensemble (Macron camp) 33.9%, National Rally 18.2%, France Unbowed 16.1%. Ensemble (Macron camp) did 6 points better here than across France.
