Fouquières-lès-Lens is a commune in Pas-de-Calais with 4,303 registered voters, the 63rd largest of the département's 886 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 56.4% of them voted, fewer than the 60.3% across Pas-de-Calais, and the list led by Donata Hochart won 22 of the council's 29 seats after a second round.

In the first round of the 2022 presidential election the commune voted National Rally 48.2%, France Unbowed 19.4%, Ensemble (Macron camp) 15.9%. National Rally did 25 points better here than across France.
