Saint-Maixant is a commune in Creuse with 195 registered voters, the 137th largest of the département's 252 communes. At the municipal election of March 2026 65.6% of them voted, close to the 67.2% across Creuse, and Saint Maixant autrement et simplement won 11 of the council's 11 seats in the first round.
